ABOUT
Situated on 3.3 hectares of country gardens, including a three-hole golf course, tennis court and solar-heated salt-chlorinated swimming pool, and an almost 1km bush walking track, Kanturk Country Retreat is a private sanctuary where you can unwind away from the hustle and bustle of your daily life. It is located at the gateway to the Mornington Peninsula and just 45 minutes from Melbourne. Enjoy the birdlife as you have a barbecue with friends, wander through native bushland, the tall trees on the fairways, or plunge into the sparkling water of the swimming pool. You may even hold a family celebration in an event that won't break the budget.

Breakfast
All cottages have full kitchen facilities however if you would like it stocked with continental or full breakfast provisions, please order it when you book in.
Golf
Our three-hole golf course is great fun for both novice and experienced players. If you are after a more challenging game, Bemdridge's nine holes, or Centenary Park's 18 holes are not far away.
Garden
Make a romantic weekend away extra special with a hamper lunch to enjoy at a secluded part of the garden. Whether you would like to sit by the dam, in the orchard, or bushland, the choice is yours.
Tennis
Shielded by the cypress hedge, the tennis court makes for great fun having a match with family and friends. The pool adjoining it offers cool respite in summer.
Pool and barbecue
The barbecue pavilion and salt-chlorinated, solar heated pool is a great spot to cool off in summer. It is a lovely space for a bbq in summer, or relax into the evening. The LED lighting transforms the space at night.
Bush walks
In the mornings or late afternoon, take a stroll through the almost 1lm tracks around the property and spot the many species of birdlife at Kanturk. You can incorporate the country lanes of block for a 3.6km walk, or Langwarrin Flora and Fauna Reserve for a more challenging adventure.

Celebrate your significant family events such as a 60th birthday, wedding, or family reunion in a relaxed setting and invite your friends (up to 50 people). You can arrange your own sips and nibbles, or we can help put you in touch with local suppliers.
Soap House workshops
Learn the secrets of natural soap and balm making at a workshop in the Soap House. You will leave armed with the knowledge of how to make your own beautiful, all-natural health care products. A great activity for a hen's weekend. Check availability prior to booking.
Connect with nature
Encounter our precious native and endangered wildlife as you stroll around the golf course. gardens and bush walking tracks. We have spent a lot of time developing the bushland and gardens to encourage native fauna. The birdlife is a delight to encounter.
Vintage
Tyabb is a treasure trove of vintage and antique shops. Spend a day exploring the Tyabb Packing House and The Vintage Shed and immerse yourself in a bygone era. From furniture and jewellery to clothes and paintings, you never know what you may discover.
Explore wineries
The Mornington Peninsula is renowned for its world class wineries most with restaurants incorporated. Spend a day exploring the region and discover the many little boutique farms producing cheeses, chocolates and other tasty treats.
Cultural experiences
Wander through the McClelland Gallery and Sculpture Park, or Mornington Regional Gallery. If art doesn't take your fancy, visit the National Trust property Mulberry Hill, the home of Sir Daryl and Lady Joan Lindsay who was best known as author of the novel
Picnic at Hanging Rock.
